Public Waterfront Access

(Program to be followed by potluck supper)


 

Join us as Keys in the Balance, Last Stand’s popular moderated panel discussion, explores issues related to "working waterfront", efforts to protect necessary marine infrastructure, how to balance individual property rights against community need, and more.

Monday, December 17 from 6 to 8 PM
 
NOAA's Nancy Foster Eco-Discovery Center, Key West

The panel will include advocates of various waterfront interests :

 Monroe County's efforts toward preserving working waterfront

David Paul Horan (attorney)

 private property rights of those who own waterfront land

Doug Bradshaw (City of Key West)

 plans for the Truman Waterfront

 fishing industry's need for waterfront access

Bruce Ritson (Wisteria Island activist)

 Key West waterfront issues 

 

 

Program will be followed by a Potluck Supper at 7:30 PM.  Come for just the program if you wish, but if you stay for the potluck supper, please bring some edibles to share.  (Beverages will be provided.)

 

The event is free and open to the public.
