50-some Last Stand members and friends got together early evening on June 29 for our EXPO 2005, an event for updating members and other interested persons on current issues Last Stand is working on.  We held the program at Key West Garden Club's beautiful site at West Martello Tower in Key West.

Last Stand board members and other advocates were on hand to update interested persons on issues that included Transient Rentals, Hurricane Evacuation, the Cruise Ship Quality-of-Life Study, Watermark, the County's "Tier System", Key West Trees & Parks, and Key West Salt Ponds issues.

Other like-minded environmental and community groups, including Key West Audubon, Reef Relief, and Key West Garden Club were on hand to promote awareness of their programs.

Last Stand heartily thanks the Key West Garden Club for the use of the premises, and all the organizations, members, and friends who helped make our EXPO 2005 a success!
